Montecastillo Golf

Designed by Jack Nicklaus and opened in 1992 – over recent years the course has hosted the Volvo Masters which was well received by the Pros and gained worldwide recognition by the extensive TV coverage. Investment of 1.5 Million Euros brought Montecastillo back to its very best in 2007.

Montecastillo is designed on rolling terrain – although it is never significantly hilly except for the dramatic 18th hole which requires a tee shot from the top of a cliff playing down a steep drop to a fairway next to the Hotel and short of the big lake which protects the green. The finishing stretch are the best on the course and 16-18 all necessitate a strong nerve to avoid the ever threatening water around the green and on the second shots. Montecastillo is located 45 minutes south of Seville and 15 minutes from Jerez, which can be accessed via Ryan Air from London Stansted airport
