The Medina Elvira Golf Resort is situateded a mere 7 minutes from Granada International Airport by car.  The resort sits almost at the foot of the beautiful Sierra Nevada Mountain range making it ideal for Winter Ski breaks while there is a full 18 hole golf course within the resort for your pleasure.

Visitors can Ski in the morning and play golf in the afternoon and see the sites of Granada City in the evening.  A truly versatile and diverse experience for for any holiday maker weather family, corporate or traveling golfer or keen skier.  In addition the nearby Embalse del Cubillas lake where water sports are the main attraction in the summer.

The main focus of the Medina Elvira resort is a stunning 18-hole, par 72 golf course in an area of over 1,000,000 m2 in an idyllic setting. Medina Elvira Golf has a driving range, practice putting green, lakes and greens.

Medina Elvira is located in the Atarfe region of Granada set in unsurpassable natural surroundings. Easily accessible by public transport and in close proximity to Granada airport.

Medina Elvira is only 10 minutes away from the heart of Granada, 20 minutes from skiing and outdoor activities in the Sierra Nevada and 45 minutes from the Costa Tropical.

Granada
Because of their outstanding beauty and architectural design, the city of Granada and the simply magical Alhambra Palace have been declared UNESCO world Heritage sites. A mere 10 minutes from Medina Elvira Golf Resort, the centre of Granada provides a cosmopolitan experience with daily concerts, cultural exhibitions, tapas bars and restaurants in abundance. Granada International Airport is also 10 minutes from Medina Elvira Golf Resort, with connections to other major European cities.  
 
Sierra Nevada
The Sierra Nevada is Spain’s best and highest ski resort and hosted the 1996 World Alpine Ski Championships. Just 30 minutes from Medina Elvira Golf Resort and 3,500 metres above sea level, the resort has 85 pistes and is open from November to May.  
 
Scope of Activities
In addition to the golf, ski and leisure complex - there are so many other activities on offer. These include rambling, horse riding, hot air ballooning hang gliding and some challenging mountain bike trails. For non-skiers, Sierra Nevada and the area of Granada is renowned for its beautiful landscapes and pure mountain air. In contrast the Costa Tropical is a mere 45 minutes drive away and world famous beaches of the Costa del Sol are a mere hour and a half. Here you can enjoy perfect golden sands and endless summer sun. This is truly an all year round resort and it would be hard to find anywhere else where such a wide range of activities can be enjoyed.

The Weather
Because of its mountain geography, Grenada’s climate is very special, cold temperatures in the winter (6 or 7 deg C in February) and very hot in the summer (between 37 to 40 deg C) with nice fresh nights in the region of 15-20 deg C. There are more than 320 days of sun a year, and annual average temperature of 20 deg C, makes for an extremely agreeable climate.
Granada Airport:  7 minutes by car.  Serviced by RyanAir from Stansted and Liverpool for the moment.

Malaga Airport:  45 minutes by car. Serviced by all the major low cost airlines throughout the UK (bmi, thomsons,monarch,easy jet, Jet2 etc etc).
