Los Flamingos Golf

This unusual, spectacular course has been designed to represent the garden of a lavish Tuscan villa; some of the fairways and margins of the course echo the Roman theme, with classic columns, statues and marble bridges. Every hole affords magnificent ocean views to Gibraltar and Africa beyond. The planting of shrubs and trees was planned in great detail: each hole is defined by its own trees. A round takes players through olives, chestnuts, pines, jacarandas, medlars, carobs, orange and cypress trees - amongst many more. It is a technically demanding course, particularly over the front 9, although the par 4 tenth is the most challenging hole. The 4th, 9th and 17th holes have elevated tees, giving unobstructed views of the greens and panoramic vistas over the Mediterranean sea.
