Lauro 27 Golf

Lauro Golf is 1000 metres above sea level on a hillside of the Mijas Mountain Range in a place of extraordinary beauty. Part of the course is in a protected construction free area, where golf and nature bond together. Inaugurated in 1992, this is recognised as one of the best courses on the coast. Its designer, Folco Nardi, elaborated a mainly flat course, where technique and strategy make it a challenge to players of any handicap. The second 9 hole course right next to the existing one was designed by Mariano Benitez and inaugurated in January 2003. Its design respected the oak forest and other existing trees. The location and design make this course memorable and add variety to the complex.
The Lauro Golf club house is located in an ancient Andalusian building, Cortijo El Paredón, which has an excellent restaurant, changing rooms, pro-shop and office, besides the swimming pool and paddle tennis court in the surroundings. But the best of the cortijo is its wonderful patio, in the shadow of a huge centennial rubber plant where players can relax after a great round of golf.
