This is one of the oldest and most respected courses in the area, designed by the famous Robert Trent Jones in the 1960's.
The course includes numerous water obstacles: there are 10 artificial lakes fed by 2 stream-s. The greens, the majority of which are raised, are amply protected by bunkers. The result of R.T. Jones's efforts is an original and attractive course.
He was also original in his choice of Bermuda grass for the fairways and Pentcross Bent on the greens-unusual in the Europe of the 60's. The outcome of all this is a round requiring a precision game of golf. As an example of the opinion of great golfers we can quote that of Paul Azinger: "There is not a single bad hole at La Brisas. Indeed one of the finest I have been able to play."
