Golf in Costa Daurada

The Costa Daurada, or golden coast, offers miles of wonderful golden sands, washed by the crystal clear blue Mediterranean Sea. Costa Dauradahas a long stretch of coast, interspersed with sandy beaches and pretty coves. The resorts have a traditional seaside atmosphere and are excellent for families, especially since the recent addition of the Universal Mediterranean theme park resort. There is also an aqua park at La Pineda. Inland you will find the traditional Spain of market towns and Tapas bars. Costa Daurada is also within easy reach of the ancient Roman city of Tarragona and the vibrant regional capital of Barcelona. Tourist attractions include Gaudi's Cathedral, the Picasso Museum, and Las Ramblas. Cambrills is a pretty fishing village and Salou has a popular seafront which is lit up by night.

The coastline here consists of almost 150 miles of golden sand sloping gently into the warm Mediterranean water. An ideal choice for a beach holiday. A wide range of water sports and other leisure activities combined with plenty of bars, restaurants and hotels make Costa Dorada an excellent holiday destination. The shallow sea at Cambrills and Salou is ideal for children. Salou is good for night life while Sitges is a little quiter and more sophisticated. Cambrills has something more of an authentic Spanish flavour. Do not miss the theme park at Port Aventura with over thirty rides. Barcelona is close by for shopping and sightseeing and tax-free Andorra is within easy reach.

Golf on the Costa Daurada is superb and is home to some spectacular courses such as Bonmont Terres Noves, Costa Dorada Golf, Panoramica Golf and Country Club, Masia Bach and Reus Aiguesverds. The climate is ideal for golf all year round and the courses are readily accessible from the coastal resorts for those who like a variety.
