The Costa Brava lies to the south west of the Pyrenees not too far from France and stretches all the way down to the amazing city of Barcelona.
This is Catalonia, which is a breathtaking region with a beautiful landscape, with a mix of great golf courses, sandy beaches, small mountains and picture postcard villages - coupled with lively attractive seaside resorts! It's unique location next to the Mediterranean produces a privileged micro climate all year round - similar to the Costa Blanca and the rainfall pattern is less than the Costa de Sol. One can expect shirt sleeve golf in November and February.
The golf courses are arguably the best in Spain as 4 out of 8 are ranked in the top 50 in Europe and 3 also host the European Tour Qualifying School each Autumn. The amazing PGA course hosted the Spanish Open in April 2000. Golfing Options rate Pals, D`Aro, PGA and Emporda as the strongest 4 golf courses together in Spain... Up until now only the Scandinavians have found this marvellous golfing region, Golfing Options clients will be the first UK golfers to discover some real hidden gems! Tee time allotments have also be negotiated at most courses.
For the discerning golfer the Aigua Blava is one of our favourite Hotels in Europe, a true paradise and offering one of the finest restaurants in Europe. Whilst for the group organiser look no further than Girona City which makes for a perfect weekend package and the great night life Platje d`Aro - both of which offer incredibly exciting golf packages. Try Costa Brava once and you will be hooked.
