Atalaya Park Golf

There are 2 courses at Atalaya Park: the original Old Course, opened in 1968, and the more recently constructed New Course. The Old Course is set in classic parkland and has supurb wide fairways and fast elevated greens. the 3rd hole is a tough par 4 - when the pin is in the front of the green accuracy is imperative. The 9th is a good birdie hole for the long hitter to get there in 2. Fairway bunkers protect the 2nd shot. The green slopes to the right. The 15th has a dogleg right. Players can hit alot more to the left than they realize - too straight and a fairway bunker catches the shot. On the final hole aim leftto the right fairway bunker. A good tee shot leaves the player with a tricky 2nd shot. A deep bunker guards the right side.

The Old Course Championship Holes: 18 Yardage: 6447 SSS:
The Old Course is a Championship Golf Course. It is a classic parkland course with generous Bermuda grass, fairways and elevated greens protected by well-placed bunkers.

 

The New Course  Holes: 18 Yardage: 5605 SSS:

The New

Course with its beautiful fairways and excellent greens has become a genuine challenge to both the established players as well as the beginners. It is one of the most natural courses on the Costa del Sol and offers splendid views of the Mediterranean and Gibraltar.
The New Course is as deceptively challenging as the views from it are beautiful. It soon heads up into the foothills, then meanders between the faiways of the Old Course on the way back.
